Council Bins is a trading division of Environmental Hygiene Products Limited which manufactures and supplies a wide range of waste bins and sack holders to Councils throughout the United Kingdom.

With so many council offices across the United Kingdom the volume of waste created each day is exceptionally large. Recycling is a way to cut down on how much waste is being sent to landfills. By introducing recycling bins marked for different types of recyclable materials and as long as every member of staff takes an active role in recycling, council offices can dramatically decrease the amount of waste been sent out to landfills and become much more sustainable.

Basic materials that can be recycled in any office or work environment are as follows:

  • Paper
  • Cardboard
  • Newspaper
  • Magazines
  • Drink Cans
  • Plastic Bottles

 

Although most materials can be recycled in some way, there are some that cannot. For such materials other bins will be required and the need for safety in areas where large groups gather is vitally important. Therefore fire retardant bins are a must for council offices.

All of our fire retardant bins have been tested to the relevant UK Government technical memo standards for fire retardancy and non-flammability.

In addition, we are ISO 9001:2000 certified for both the manufacture and supply of waste bins and sackholders.
